In a significant development, the state-owned NTPC has initiated a trial of hydrogen buses in Leh. As part of this trial, five ‘fuel cell’ buses are being deployed within the city of Leh.
Additionally, NTPC is taking steps to establish a hydrogen fueling station and a solar power plant in Ladakh.
These efforts are aligned with the company’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving a net-zero carbon footprint.
