IRCTC Hikes Food Prices:
Indian Railways (Indian Railways) has once again given a big blow to the people traveling on the train.
IRCTC has decided to increase the rates of food and drink items available on the train.
This means that rail travel will also be costlier for people who are already facing the brunt of inflation.
According to the report, IRCTC has increased the price of food items on the train from Rs 2 to Rs 25.
Please tell that this increase in the prices of goods has been done only for the trains going from East Central Railway.
IRCTC Regional General Manager Rajesh Kumar says that both the quality and quantity of food have been improved, which is why the prices of food items have increased.
Now all items like roti, dosa, dal, gulab jamun, and sandwiches will be available on the train at a higher price.
Samosa will be available for 10 rupees
IRCTC has increased the prices of all the food items, but the good thing is that the prices of the food stalls at the station have stayed the same.
That is, the prices of food items available only from Pantrykar have been increased. IRCTC has released a list of 70 items whose rates have been changed.
Now instead of Rs 8, you will have to pay Rs 10 for samosas on the train. At the same time, a sandwich will cost Rs 16. Apart from this, roti will now be available for Rs.10.
