On Sunday, September 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started nine Vande Bharat trains through a video call, linking 11 different states.
When launching these new train routes, the Prime Minister mentioned that it won’t be long before Vande Bharat trains connect every part of the country.
These nine trains will improve transportation in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha,
Jharkhand, and Gujarat, bringing the total number of Vande Bharat trains to 34.
Here’s what you need to know about these trains, including their schedules and stops:
Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express
This train operates six days a week, except for Tuesdays. It departs from Udaipur at 7:50 am and arrives in Jaipur at 2:05 pm. The return trip leaves Jaipur at 3:45 pm and gets to Udaipur at 10:00 pm. It stops at several stations on the way.
Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express
This train also runs six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. It departs from Tirunelveli at 6:00 am and arrives in Chennai at 1:50 pm. The return journey leaves Chennai at 2:50 pm and reaches Tirunelveli at 10:40 pm. It stops at various stations along the route.
Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
Operating six days a week, except for Wednesdays, this train departs from Kacheguda at 5:30 am and arrives at Yesvantpur at 2:00 pm. The return trip leaves Yesvantpur at 2:45 pm and arrives in Kacheguda at 11:15 pm. It makes stops at multiple stations.
Vijayawada-Chennai (via Renigunta) Vande Bharat Express
This train runs six days a week, except for Tuesdays, departing at 3:20 pm and arriving in Chennai at 10:00 pm. It stops at several stations along the way.
Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
Departing from Patna at 8:00 am and arriving in Howrah at 2:35 pm, this train operates on specific days. The return journey leaves Howrah at 3:50 pm and reaches Patna at 10:40 pm. It makes stops at different stations.
Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express
Running six days a week, except for Thursdays, this train departs from Kasaragod at 2:30 pm and arrives in Thiruvananthapuram at 10:35 pm. The return trip leaves Thiruvananthapuram at 5:20 am and arrives in Kasaragod at 1:20 pm. It stops at various stations.
Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri Vande Bharat Express
This train departs from Rourkela at 2:10 pm and arrives at its destination at 9:40 pm. The return journey leaves Puri at 5:00 am and reaches Rourkela at 12:45 pm. It makes stops at different stations.
Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
Operating six days a week, except for Tuesdays, this train departs from Ranchi at 5:15 am and arrives in Howrah at 12:20 pm. The return trip leaves Howrah at 3:45 pm and arrives in Ranchi at 10:50 pm. It stops at multiple stations.
Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express
