India Expands UPI Payment Service to Sri Lanka and Mauritius

India’s UPI payment is now going worldwide. After France, you can now use UPI to make payments in Sri Lanka and Mauritius too.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start this. Also, UPI and RuPay will connect in these countries too. Indian tourists will find this very helpful.

PM Modi, along with the President of Sri Lanka and the Prime Minister of Mauritius, will launch the UPI services.

They will do this through video calls on Monday. This will make it easier for Indians going to Sri Lanka and Mauritius, and also for people from these countries coming to India.

India has strong ties with Sri Lanka and Mauritius, and this will make their relationship even stronger.

With UPI, digital transactions will be quicker and smoother. Both countries’ people will benefit from UPI going global, and it will boost digital connections between them.

With RuPayCard expanding in Mauritius, banks there can use RuPayCard for transactions between India and Mauritius.
