The Madhya Pradesh government has introduced a new incentive for farmers growing coarse grains, known as Shree Anna.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a support of ₹10 per kilogram for these farmers under the Rani Durgavati Shree Anna Incentive Yojana.
This incentive will be directly deposited into the farmers’ bank accounts.
Current Trends
The Agriculture Department shared on social media that Shree Anna is proving to be very advantageous.
Specifically, Kodo-Kutki is becoming increasingly profitable, and farmers growing this crop are receiving an incentive of Rs 10 per quintal.
Details of the Incentive Scheme
The scheme applies to farmers cultivating coarse grains such as Kodo-Kutki, Ragi, Jowar, and Bajra.
According to the MP Agriculture Department, farmers will receive ₹10 per kilogram of coarse grains produced.
The government has emphasized that the incentive amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts.
