If you have an account with the ‘National Pension System’, there’s some important news for you.
The organization in charge, PFRDA, has decided to make some changes to how you log in. These changes will start from April 1, 2024, which is next month.
They’re making things more secure by adding a new step called ‘two-factor authentication’. This means you’ll need two pieces of information to log in.
One of these will be your Aadhaar, which is a special identification number. This change is to make sure only the right people can access their accounts.
Starting from April 1, 2024, when you log in, you’ll get a special code sent to your phone along with your usual ID and password.
You’ll have to enter this code to finish logging in. PFRDA says this extra step will make logging in safer.
Right now, to log in, you only need your NPS ID and password. But with this new change, you’ll also need your Aadhaar and the special code sent to your phone.
Here’s how you can do it
1) Go to the official NPS website: https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/NationalPensionSystem.html.
2) Click on “Login with PRAIN/IPIN”.
3) A new window will open.
4) Enter your NPS ID and password.
5) Fill in the captcha.
6) You’ll get a code sent to your phone linked with your Aadhaar.
7) Enter this code.
8) You’ll be logged in to your NPS account.
9) That’s it! Now you can access your NPS account safely.
