IMD has Predicted Scattered and Light Rain in THESE States for Next 5 Days

The Indian Meteorological Department has projected moderate and scattered rainfall across various states including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Sikkim, and West Bengal over the next five days.

Additionally, light rain is anticipated in other parts of the country.

Notably, heavy rainfall might affect certain regions of Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh from August 11 to August 14.

Himachal Pradesh is also expected to experience heavy showers between August 11 and 14, while Punjab and Haryana are likely to encounter rain from August 11 to 13.

Weather Outlook for Northwestern India

During August 10 to 14, there is a high chance of light to heavy rain in northern Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh, accompanied by ongoing rain activities in specific areas.

Similarly, Himachal Pradesh might witness heavy rainfall at selected locations from August 10 to 14.

Occasional rains are anticipated in Punjab and Haryana on August 10 and 13.

On August 10, 2023, rain is forecasted for West Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Uttarakhand could also experience heavy rain in various spots from August 10 to 13.

The rest of Northwest India might witness scattered light to moderate rain throughout the week.

Red Alert in Uttarakhand

A “Red” alert along with an “Orange” alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for most districts of Uttarakhand from today until August 14.

Uttarakhand Police has also released an advisory, cautioning about potential landslides and floods.

Weather Forecast for Northeast India

Isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram,

and Tripura are likely to experience light, moderate, and heavy rain during the initial part of the week.

Weather Conditions in Eastern India

From August 10 to 16, northern parts of Bihar, West Bengal, and Sikkim are expected to encounter rain.

Gangetic West Bengal might witness light to moderate rain on August 12, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in certain areas.

Northern Bihar is likely to experience heavy rains from August 10 to 13, while Sikkim might face heavy downpours on August 11 and 12.
