Hyundai Begins Production of EXTER SUV in India, Launch Date Revealed!

Hyundai, the renowned automobile manufacturer, has officially initiated the production of its latest compact SUV, the EXTER, in India.

This highly anticipated vehicle is being manufactured at Hyundai’s advanced production facility located in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, approximately 45 kilometers from Chennai.

The inaugural model, painted in the striking ‘Ranger-Khaki’ color, marked the first SUV to roll off the assembly line at this plant.

What sets this SUV apart from the rest? The EXTER brings an array of features and benefits for discerning customers.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) proudly revealed that their modern manufacturing plant employs an impressive fleet of 700 4th Generation robots.

Commenting on this milestone, Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO of HMIL, expressed excitement about entering a new segment with the EXTER, which will further strengthen Hyundai’s presence in the market, offering customers a complete range of SUV options.

The highly anticipated launch of the EXTER is scheduled for July 10th.

Apart from the domestic market, Hyundai has plans to export the EXTER to 85 countries, showcasing its global appeal. The SUV boasts several advanced features, including a smart electric sunroof and an inbuilt dashcam equipped with dual cameras.

As Hyundai’s first micro-SUV, it incorporates over 60 connected features, including BLULINK technology, making it the most connected SUV in its segment.

With the addition of the EXTER, Hyundai now offers a comprehensive lineup of 12 models across various segments. The company boasts an extensive network of 1,348 sales points and 1,515 service points throughout the country.

Enthusiastic customers can secure their EXTER SUV by pre-booking it for a nominal token amount of just Rs 10,000. Deliveries of the SUV are expected to commence from the beginning of August.

Hyundai has prioritized safety in the EXTER, equipping it with six airbags and additional safety features in its top variants, such as electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill assistant control.
