About Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme
The government has introduced the PM Crop Insurance Scheme for farmers.
This program provides insurance coverage for crops. To benefit from this scheme, farmers only need to pay half of the insurance cost.
The remaining 50 percent is provided as a subsidy by the central and state governments.
Under this scheme, the premium for insuring Rabi crops is 1.5 percent. The farmer only needs to pay 0.75 percent of this premium, and the government covers the remaining portion as a subsidy.

Here’s how to apply:
1. Visit your local bank or agriculture office in your district.
2. Fill out the application form for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
3. Provide details about your crops, land, and the amount you want to insure in the form.
4. Submit photocopies of all your documents along with the form.
5. Once the agriculture office or bank accepts your application, you need to pay the premium.
6. After paying the premium, you will receive the crop insurance policy.
