Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced the NX500 in India, starting at a price of ₹5.90 lakh (excluding showroom charges).
Its cost is higher because it is brought to India as a fully assembled unit. The Honda NX500 will compete with bikes like the Kawasaki Versys 650, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and KTM 390 Adventure.
It takes the place of the CB500X in Honda’s lineup, which had a price of ₹5.79 lakh (excluding showroom charges).
Features of Honda NX500
Booking for the new Honda NX500 adventure tourer is now open in India. Interested customers can reserve the bike by paying Rs 10,000 at Honda Big Wing dealerships.
The NX500 is a mid-range adventure bike from the company, priced below the recently launched XL750 Translap.
Filling the Gap of CB500X
The Honda NX500 addresses the absence created by the discontinuation of the CB500X in the Indian market.
The NX500 is a more potent touring bike compared to the CB500X, evident in its rally-bike style fairing, tall windscreen, and seating position. The seat height of the NX500 is 830mm.
Front and Rear Alloy Wheels
The suspension setup includes a USD fork suspension and a monoshock suspension. The bike features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with block-pattern tires.
The braking system comprises twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear wheel.
Engine and Features
The bike is equipped with a 471cc parallel-twin engine capable of producing 47bhp power and 43Nm torque.
It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, Honda has incorporated a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and navigation.
