Honda launches New Electric SUV with 450K Massive Range (Features & Price)

Honda recently introduced its latest electric SUV, the Prologue. Built on the platform of the Acura ZDX E-SUV, which is a product of collaboration with General Motors, this new electric vehicle is set to hit the American market soon. The Prologue shares design similarities with the popular Accord sedan.

Impressive Range and Configurations

Honda claims that the Prologue will offer an impressive range of approximately 450 kilometers on a single charge.

Customers can choose between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.

Bookings for this electric SUV in the American market are set to open later this year, with deliveries slated to begin in 2024.

Honda’s Second Electric Offering

The Prologue marks Honda’s second foray into the electric vehicle market in the United States.

It is expected to outperform its predecessor, the Clarity EV, which only boasted a range of 89 miles (143 kilometers).

Design and Dimensions

The Honda Prologue stands out with its wider body compared to its height. The use of black body cladding contributes to reduced weight.

Its dimensions include a length of 4876mm and a wheelbase of 3093mm, giving it a station wagon-like appeal.

The long wheelbase results in short front and rear overhangs, maintaining a clean and simple design.

Trim Options

In the United States, the Prologue will be available in three trim levels: the base EX trim, mid-spec Touring, and the top-spec Elite.

The EX and Touring trims offer an AWD option, while AWD comes standard in the Elite trim.

Customers can choose from up to seven different colors, and the Elite trim boasts 21-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and signature LED tail lights.

Feature-Rich Interior

Inside the Prologue, Honda provides a range of premium features, including heated

and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, a heated steering wheel, a heads-up display (HUD),

and an 11-inch full-HD display. The vehicle also features a digital instrument screen, an 11.3-inch infotainment screen, and a panoramic sunroof.

Advanced Infotainment and Safety

The infotainment screen in the Prologue runs on Google software and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Higher trim levels come equipped with many advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Additionally, the Prologue offers a spacious boot with 707 liters of storage space, expandable to 1642 liters.
