Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the updated 2023 Livo bike in India, and it’s more affordable than ever.
The starting price in Delhi is just Rs 78,500. The Livo has been updated to be OBD2 compliant, which means it meets modern emission standards.
This commuter bike comes in two variants: drum and disc, with the disc variant priced at Rs 82,500.
The company is also offering a 10-year warranty package for the updated Livo, which includes both the standard 3-year warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty.
A Fresh Look and Urban Style
The 2023 Livo showcases a fresh new design, featuring updated graphics, a redesigned front visor, and new taillights.
Honda has introduced the bike in three attractive color options: Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Crust Metallic, and Black.
These changes are all aimed at giving the Livo a more modern and urban style.
Impressive Design Features
The muscular fuel tank and overall styling give the Livo a sporty appearance. It’s equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tires for better stability.
The bike also features a DC halogen headlamp, a 657 mm tall seat, an integrated engine start/stop switch, 5-step preload adjustable rear twin shock absorbers, RSU telescopic front forks, and a combi brake system.
Efficient Engine Performance
Powering the 2023 Honda Livo is a 109.51cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine generates 8.67 bhp of power and 9.30 Nm of peak torque.
It’s paired with a 4-speed gearbox for smooth shifting. With the OBD2 compliance update, the engine now features an ACG starter for a quieter engine start.
The brushless motor also functions as a generator, producing electricity to charge the battery.
Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales & Marketing at HMSI, expressed his thoughts on the launch.
He stated, “Since its debut in 2015, the Livo has remained a popular choice among buyers in its segment. With the transition to OBD2 norms, we’re enhancing its appeal.
The 2023 Honda Livo is equipped with advanced technology, ensuring it continues to fulfill customer expectations for style, comfort, and performance.”
Tough Competition
The 2023 Honda Livo enters the market with strong competition. It competes against bikes like the TVS Radeon and Hero Passion Pro, both of which are equipped with a 109cc single-cylinder BS6 petrol engine.
These alternatives have ex-showroom prices starting from Rs 73,000, making the Livo an attractive and affordable option for riders.
