The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has issued a notice regarding the daily transaction limits set by all major payment apps.
Payment apps include Google Pay, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, and Paytm, which will affect millions of users in the country.
Everyday UPI Transactions limits
The National Payment Corporation of India has set a maximum limit of Rs 1 lakh per day for UPI transactions, while certain smaller banks have increased this limit to 25,000.
It is worth examining the number of transactions each app allows per day.
Limit of AmazonPay
Amazon Pay has set a maximum limit of Rs 1,000,000 for UPI payments.
However, after registering for Amazon Pay UPI, users can only transact up to Rs 5000 in the first 24 hours. The bank has restricted the number of daily transactions to 20.
Limit of Paytm
Paytm UPI has imposed a limit of Rs 1 lakh for customers. Furthermore, Paytm has revised the daily limit per hour, stating that users can only conduct transactions of up to Rs 20,000 per hour. Additionally, only 5 transactions per hour and 20 transactions per day are allowed.
Limit of Google Pay
GPay, also known as Google Pay, has set a total transaction limit of 10 across all UPI applications and bank accounts.
Users are restricted to 10 transactions per day, with a daily transaction limit of one lakh rupees.
Limit of PhonePe
PhonePe has set a daily limit of Rs 100,000 for UPI transactions. In addition, depending on the bank’s policies, users can conduct a maximum of 10 or 20 transactions per day using PhonePe UPI.
