Govt Introduces New ‘e-Bhoomi’ Portal to Simplifies Land Purchase

Investing in real estate, whether it’s a house or land, is a significant financial decision that requires careful consideration.

The government has recently introduced an essential tool to aid land buyers in their endeavors.

The ‘e-Bhoomi’ portal, launched by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, aims to streamline the land purchase process for government projects and promote transparency.

Land Purchase Made Easier

Khattar’s initiative is geared towards simplifying the acquisition of land with the consent of landowners for government projects. Here’s what you need to know:

Who Can Offer Land?

This portal isn’t limited to just farmers; aggregators can also propose their land for government projects.

However, aggregators must fulfill certain criteria, including being an income tax payer and possessing a Family Identity Card (PPP). Land offers made on the portal are valid for six months.

Streamlined Process

To expedite land acquisition for government projects, nodal officers have been designated at both the department and district levels.

These officers will facilitate and oversee the entire process, ensuring efficiency and transparency.

Reduced Waiting Times

Efforts have been taken to minimize the time required for land purchases, both for government projects and private buyers.

The Chief Minister has set an ambitious target of completing the entire land purchase process for government projects within three to six months.

This ‘e-Bhoomi’ portal marks a significant step towards simplifying land transactions, benefiting both landowners and those interested in investing in land for government initiatives.
