Google announces to Discontinue 17 features from Google Assistant

Google has stopped some of its features in Google Assistant. Google Assistant works on almost all Android phones, but many people don’t use most of its features.

So, Google has decided to remove 17 features from Google Assistant. Let me tell you about these features that you can’t use anymore:

1) You can’t use your voice to play and control audiobooks on Google Play Books.

2) You can’t set media, music, and radio alarms using Google Assistant on your devices.

3) You can’t access or manage cookbooks, transfer recipes, play recipe videos, or view step-by-step recipes.

4) On smart displays, you can’t manage the stopwatch and speakers anymore.

5) You can’t use your voice to call or send messages to your Google Family group.

6) You can’t send emails, video messages, or audio messages using your voice.

7) You can’t reschedule events in Google Calendar with your voice.

8) In Google Assistant driving mode on Google Maps, you can’t use the app launcher for various functions.

9) You can’t listen to previously scheduled family bell announcements or reschedule them.

10) You can’t give voice commands to meditate peacefully.

11) Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 can’t be voice-controlled for device activities.

12) You can’t see the exclusive viewing summary coming on Google Smart Display.

13) Caller ID won’t appear when calling from speakers and smart displays without using Duo.

14) You can’t see the estimated “commute to work” time on the smart display.

15) You can’t check your personal itinerary by voice.

16) You can’t ask for information about your contacts.

17) You can’t ask Google Assistant to take actions like sending a payment, making a reservation, or posting on social media.
