In a recent development, a group of individuals has been apprehended at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on charges of gold smuggling.
This incident sheds light on a recurring pattern where many Indian workers returning from Gulf countries are found carrying substantial quantities of gold.
Seizures in Three Separate Instances
According to officials familiar with the matter, authorities have successfully seized a considerable amount of gold in three distinct cases.
The combined value of the confiscated gold from the three accused individuals,
who recently arrived from Gulf countries, is estimated to be around 2.55 Crore.

Detention of Three Suspects
The investigation led to the arrest of three suspects who had arrived from Gulf countries,
alongside the apprehension of two additional individuals who were allegedly involved in receiving the smuggled gold.
The total weight of the seized gold amounts to 4.7 kilograms, with an approximate worth of 2.55 Crore.
