Go First Airlines Crisis: All Flights Canceled Until May 30, Passengers to Receive Refunds

Revival Plan Requested by DGCA

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has requested Go First, the airline company facing voluntary insolvency proceedings, to present a detailed revival plan before it can resume operations.

Since May 3, the airline’s flights have remained suspended, and on May 24, the DGCA instructed Go First to submit a comprehensive revival plan within 30 days to outline its strategy for resuming services.

Reviewing the Revival Plan

After Go First submits its revival plan, the DGCA will review it to determine the appropriate course of action.

The review process will include an evaluation of operable aircraft, pilot availability, management of resources, and financial arrangements, among other factors.

The DGCA aims to ensure the airline’s readiness and compliance before granting permission to resume operations.

Reply to the Show Cause Notice

In response to the show cause notice issued by the DGCA on May 8, Go First has submitted its reply.

The airline has expressed its intention to utilize the moratorium period to prepare a comprehensive restructuring plan, which will then be presented to the DGCA.

The request seeks the DGCA’s approval to initiate the necessary preparations for resuming operations in the future.
