To begin, you need to have an Aadhar card. An e-PAN is just as valid as a regular PAN and is made using your Aadhar card. Here’s what you need to do:
- Visit https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ on your phone or laptop.
- Click on the option for instant E-PAN.
- On the new page, choose “Get New e-PAN” on the left side.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- Confirm your details and wait for an OTP (one-time password) sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and your email ID, and fill in the required information for the PAN card.
After completing the form, you’ll receive your PAN number soon. You can use this number just like a regular PAN.
Once you’ve applied, you can download the PAN card in PDF format from the website by selecting “Check Status/Download PAN”. That’s it!
