Nissan has just launched the automatic version of its popular SUV, the Magnite, in India.
With an ex-showroom price of just Rs 6.50 lakh, it’s causing a stir in the market, giving tough competition to models like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exeter.
What’s catching everyone’s attention is the remarkable fuel efficiency of the Magnite AMT, which matches its manual counterpart at an ARAI-rated 20 Kmpl.
Starting at just Rs 6,49,900, the Magnite AMT is significantly more affordable than the Tata Punch Adventure AMT (Rs 7,49,900) and the Hyundai Exeter S AMT (Rs 7,96,980).
This makes the Magnite AMT about Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Punch Automatic and Rs 1.5 lakh cheaper than the Exeter Automatic.
Interestingly, the manual versions of these SUVs are all priced quite similarly, with the Magnite, Tata Punch, and Hyundai Exeter starting at around Rs 5,99,900.
Under the hood, the Magnite AMT boasts a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, delivering 100hp and 160Nm of torque. It also offers a 1.0-liter petrol engine with 71hp and 96Nm of torque.
Both engine options come with the choice of a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.
In terms of features, the Magnite doesn’t disappoint. It comes with safety features like dual airbags, speed-sensing door locks, smart connectivity, an around-view monitor, and more.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find a 7-inch TFT screen, steering-mounted controls, wireless charging, an air purifier, ambient mood lighting, rear parking sensors, traction control, hill start assist, and standard safety features like ABS, EBD, HSA, and HBA.
