Good news for those benefiting from the Central and State Government’s free ration scheme! Starting tomorrow, on September 12th and 13th, you’ll receive not only wheat and rice but also free sugar.
Who Gets Free Sugar?
Antyodaya cardholders are the fortunate recipients of three months of free sugar this time. This information was confirmed by Lucknow DSO Vijay Pratap Singh.
These cardholders will also be able to purchase sugar at the subsidized rate of Rs 18 per kg in July, August, and September.
What’s Included in the Ration?
Under the free ration scheme, Antyodaya cardholders receive 14 kg of wheat and 21 kg of rice at no cost. Additionally, household cardholders will be provided with an extra five kg per unit of ration.
Where to Collect Rations?
Eligible households, including Antyodaya cardholders, can collect their free ration at government ration shops.
Shahjahanpur district residents can avail this service from September 12th to 23rd, with strict instructions for shopkeepers to ensure complete and high-quality rations.
Three Months of Sugar at Once
Antyodaya cardholders will receive three months’ worth of sugar in one go this time, available at a subsidized rate of Rs 18 per kg for July, August, and September, with a total cost of Rs 54 for three kg.
Strict Action Against Wrongdoers
Authorities have issued clear instructions to take strict action against any shopkeepers found demanding money or engaging in any such unlawful activities.
Lucknow has 37,841 Antyodaya cardholders and 534,159 household cardholders benefiting from this scheme.
