This means that if you plan to travel by plane during the festive season, your air tickets might become more expensive.
Airlines might have to raise their ticket prices due to the higher cost of fuel.
How much did ATF prices go up?
In the capital city, Delhi, the price of ATF has reached Rs 20,295.2 per kiloliter, surpassing Rs 1.12 lakh.
The rates for aviation fuel, also called jet fuel, in Delhi have climbed to Rs 1,12,419.33 per kiloliter.
ATF prices have risen for the third month in a row
ATF prices have increased significantly not only in Delhi but also in other major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.
This marks the third consecutive month of price hikes by oil marketing companies. T
he prices for the fuel used in airplanes and jets, known as Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) or jet fuel, have been provided by the government’s Indian Oil Corporation.

Delhi
In Delhi, the price of ATF has surged to Rs 1,12,419.33 per liter, up from Rs 92,124.13 per kiloliter last month.
Mumbai
In Mumbai, the financial hub, ATF now costs Rs 1,05,222.13 per kiloliter, compared to the previous price of Rs 92,124.13.
Kolkata
The price of ATF in Kolkata has risen to Rs 1,21,063.83 per kiloliter, previously at Rs 1,07,383.08 per kiloliter.
Chennai
In Chennai, the cost of ATF has gone up to Rs 1,16,581.77 per kiloliter, from its previous rate of Rs 1,02,391.64 per kiloliter.”
