FASTag KYC Update Required: New Rules for FASTag Users Effective August 1

With the increasing number of vehicle owners, FASTag has become an essential tool for smooth travel through toll plazas.

However, starting August 1, 2024, the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced new rules requiring all FASTags that are three years old or older to complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Failure to update your FASTag KYC may result in deactivation.

Documents Required for FASTag KYC

To update your FASTag KYC, you will need the following documents:

Password

Voter ID

Aadhar Card

Driving License

PAN Card

NREGA Job Card

RC (Registration Certificate) of the vehicle

How to Update KYC Online

  1. Visit the IHMCL FASTag Portal: Go to the official portal for FASTag services.
  2. Login: Use your mobile number to log in.
  3. Check KYC Status: Click on “My Profile” and check your current KYC status.
  4. Update KYC: Click on the KYC tab, select your customer type, and provide the required details including ID proof and address.

How to Update KYC Offline

  1. Contact Your Bank: Visit the branch of the bank that issued your FASTag.
  2. Fill Out the Application Form: Complete the required application form for KYC update.
  3. Details Update: The bank will process the details and update your FASTag account.

Additional Information

FASTag Replacement: If your FASTag is five years old, you will need to replace it with a new one.

Applicability: The KYC update is mandatory for FASTags that are three years old or older.

Make sure to complete your FASTag KYC update to avoid any disruptions in your travel due to FASTag deactivation.
