EPFO Balance: The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is a savings scheme that was established by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the auspices of the Government of India.
Companies or business establishments that employ salaried workers open an EPFO account on their behalf.
Both the employee and their employer make equal contributions to the EPF, which can be withdrawn upon retirement or when the employee switches jobs.

EPFO members who have registered on the UAN portal can obtain their EPFO details by sending a message to 7738299899 from their registered mobile number.
EPFO Balance: How to check PF balance from SMS
Step 1: First, your mobile number must be linked to the Universal Account Number (UAN). The UAN should also be linked with Aadhaar, PAN, and a bank account.
Step 2: Send a text message saying ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ to 7738299899.
To receive the SMS in a language other than English, members should add the first three characters of their preferred language after UAN.
For instance, to receive an SMS in Telugu, members should send the message “EPFOHO UAN TEL” to 7738299899.
The SMS should be sent from the UAN’s registered mobile number.
Step 3: Now, you will now receive your last PF contribution, PF balance, and available KYC (Know Your Customer) information as an SMS from the EPFO.
