Elon Musk’s company, SpaceX, did something big for phones around the world. They sent out the first group of satellites to make sure everyone can connect their mobile phones easily.
SpaceX sent mobile satellite into space
SpaceX sent up some satellites, and in that group, there were 21 super-advanced Starlink satellites.
Out of these, 6 satellites were made just for a special service called ‘Direct to Sale.’ Elon Musk’s company, SpaceX, talked about these special satellites in 2022.
What will happen with these satellites?
SpaceX talked on a website called “X” and told about these things in the sky (satellites).
They said these 6 things are on a special job to help phones connect better.
They want to make sure everyone can use their phones everywhere and there are no places where phones don’t work.
What did Elon Musk say?
The person who owns SpaceX, Elon Musk, shared this message on X (formerly known as Twitter) and mentioned that it means phones will work everywhere on Earth.
This will allow for mobile phone connectivity anywhere on Earth.
Note, this only supports ~7Mb per beam and the beams are very big, so while this is a great solution for locations with no cellular connectivity, it is not meaningfully competitive with existing terrestrial… https://t.co/ymHpw8XBHl

After doing well in this new job, they will try it on regular phones in the United States. They will use T-Mobile’s network for testing.
If everything works, they will start the text messaging service in many countries later this year.
What is SpaceX’s plan by 2025?
In the future, SpaceX wants to offer more things. They plan to allow sending messages, talking on the phone, using the internet, and connecting devices by 2025.
They will start these services once the special satellites for direct sales are working well.
