Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in its new initiative, has provided a unique feature to the Aadhaar Card holders.
Now you can check the balance in your bank account by using an Aadhaar Card. The UIDAI has also said that there is no need to have an internet connection.
It takes away the unnecessary hurdle of having to go to the bank for checking bank balances for elderly citizens, differently-abled people,
and others who find it difficult to go to the bank every time. It will also help those who do not use smartphones.
This whole process is very easy and can be done by following these 4 simple steps given below –
Dial *99*99*1# from your registered mobile number
Enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number to get the bank account linked to your number
Verify your Aadhar number by entering it again
You will receive a flash SMS from UIDAI with the bank balance on the screen
The aadhaar card has already become an important instrument that allows the convergence of various services when linked with a mobile number.
It is linked to your mobile number, bank account, and PAN card, and it is mandatory to avail many government schemes.
