Ease of Visa for Indian Students in Australia: Check Detail

Australia is working to reduce the backlog of education visas for Indian students. Along with this, now Indian students can get Australia visas easily.

An agreement has been signed between India and Australia, which will facilitate the movement of students and professionals between the two countries.

According to the Union Ministry of Education, this agreement is part of the commitment shown by the Prime Ministers of both countries in the second India-Australia Virtual Summit held on 21 March 2022.

Under this agreement, the two leaders agreed to set up a joint task force for mutual recognition of qualifications.

Australian Education Minister Jason Clare said Australia looks forward to broadening the partnership between the two countries in education and skills.

He said the signed agreement would facilitate students to study in each other’s country and recognize different education levels and skill qualifications.

Appreciating the National Education Policy presented by India, the Australian Minister said that it is amazing in its scope and will transform India by creating jobs, businesses, economic productivity and opportunities in all sectors.

The target of higher education or skill education for 50 percent of youth by 2035

He said India had targeted providing 50 percent of its youth with higher or skill education by 2035. Australia would be privileged to partner with India in this program.

Australian universities are excited to work with their Indian counterparts through joint, dual degrees or through partnering institutions, which have recently been facilitated under NEP2020.

The Australian Minister said that Australia wants to bring forward the intensity and seriousness of the relationship between the two countries by promoting partnerships in the education sector.

Contribution of $ 1.89 million from Australia to India

Claire said the Australian government would contribute $1.89 million to India to conduct a skills program in the critical agriculture sector.

He further informed that Australia is working on the highest priority to reduce the backlog of education visas for Indian students.

Speaking on occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Australia and India are on the same page on the issue of making the pillar of knowledge a key aspect of the bilateral relationship.

Pradhan also invited the Australian Education Minister to the 7th Australia India Education and Skills Council (AIESC) meeting in September and the G-20 Education Ministers meeting in June this year.

According to the Education Minister, today’s developments will create more opportunities for the two-way movement of students and professionals for education and employment.

Will lead the way in making education the biggest enabler to realize the shared aspirations of the India-Australia bilateral relationship.
