Ottawa: On Tuesday, the High Commission of India in Ottawa announced the e-Visa facility’s restoration for Canadian passport holders.
The Indian High Commission in Ottawa said, ‘e-visa facility for Canadian passport holders has been restored with effect from 20 December 2022.’
He noted Canadian passport holders who want to visit India for tourism, business, medical or conference purposes.
They can apply for an E-visa at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html and follow the instructions therein.
How can I apply?
The High Commission said Canadian passport holders wishing to travel to India for any purpose who are not eligible for an e-Visa could apply for a paper visa at https://www.bisindia-canada.com.
He noted that the same procedure applies to holders of licence-pass travel documents.
Further, the Indian High Commission said those who have applied for a visa through various BLS centres in Canada are advised to wait for its issuance.

The issue was raised last month
Last month, the second India-Canada Consular Dialogue was held to discuss consular, visa and mutual legal assistance cooperation.
