New Delhi :
One of the key documents for any Indian citizen along with the Aadhaar Card is the PAN Card, which is accepted as a valid proof at a number of sites.
For salaried employees, a PAN holds an even greater importance because it is needed to file the Income Tax Return (ITR).
When opening a bank account of a demat account, the authority also asks for a valid PAN or its copy.
Meanwhile, banks also require PAN when an individual has to make a deposit of over Rs 50,000 in the bank account at one go.
