The Delhi Metro now uses QR codes with the ‘Paytm App’ for tickets on all its lines. Officials shared this news on Thursday.
According to a statement from an official, the Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Vikas Kumar, introduced this new service on all the metro lines.
Before, you could only use this service on the Airport Express Line.
Metro train tickets can now be found on Paytm
This new thing with the Delhi Metro helps people. Now, when you want to travel, you can use your phone and the Paytm app.
Just tell it where you’re starting and where you’re going on the ‘Delhi Metro’ part.
Then, show the ticket on your phone to the scanner at the gate where you enter and exit. It’s easy!

Vikas Kumar explained that making tickets available through the app is a big step to make travel easy and less stressful for many people who use the metro in the national capital.
In a different message, the DMRC mentioned that because of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon on October 15, the trains will begin running at 3:45 am from the starting stations of all the metro lines.
You can also get tickets through WhatsApp:
1. Save DMRC’s official WhatsApp number 9650855800 in your phone.
2. You can also scan the QR code at the customer service/ticket counters in Airport Express Line stations.
3. After that, send “Hi” to 9650855800 on WhatsApp.
4. Choose your language.
5. Then, purchase your ticket as instructed.
6. Mention your starting and ending stations for ticket booking.
7. Decide how many tickets you want.
8. You can pay with a credit card, debit card, or UPI.
9. You’ll get a QR code ticket in your WhatsApp chat.
