India’s First Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) RapidX Trains to Revolutionize Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor
The eagerly anticipated Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) RapidX trains are set to transform transportation along the corridor. With its advanced features and remarkable convenience, people are buzzing with excitement.
A recent update reveals that rapid train services will be available at an impressive frequency of every 5-10 minutes.
The construction work on the 17-kilometer priority section between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot is nearing completion, and operations are expected to commence in May.

The RapidX train boasts six air-conditioned coaches, providing a comfortable journey for commuters. With a capacity to accommodate 450 passengers at a time, the train will initially operate with six coaches.
Additionally, the train will offer nine stops along its route. Notably, one coach will be dedicated to luxury travelers, while another will be reserved exclusively for women passengers.

Commencement and Travel Time Expectations
Officials express optimism that the entire corridor will be open to the public by 2025. However, the priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai, covering 17 kilometers, is scheduled to be operational soon.
A remarkable feat of engineering, the RapidX trains will reduce travel time significantly. Passengers traveling on the priority section can expect to complete their journey in just 12 minutes.
Once the entire corridor is completed, the travel time between Delhi and Meerut will decrease from a lengthy three hours to a mere 50 minutes.
