Indian Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar had indicated in an Aaj Tak program that the Navy is thinking of placing a repeat order for IAC-1, i.e., INS Vikrant aircraft carrier.
That is, another aircraft carrier warship like Vikrant can be ready soon. The Navy can send its proposal to the Central Government in the next few months.
If this is a repeat order for an Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), what would be the benefit?
Right now, India has two aircraft carrier warships. First INS Vikramaditya and second INS Vikrant. Both warships are included in the world’s ten best aircraft carrier warships.
By becoming an aircraft carrier like Vikrant, we will be able to match the Chinese Navy. He also has only three aircraft careers.
Pakistan does not even have a single aircraft carrier. The biggest advantage will be that we can provide security to any coastal area.
The enemy will not be able to see any coastal area of the country from the sea route even by looking at it.
Another aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, will increase the strength of the Indian Navy manifold.
At the same time, it will create a power balance in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific Ocean region.
It took 13 years to build the first indigenous aircraft carrier. But it will take less time to become new.
It can also be made in half the time because Cochin Shipyard had developed many techniques to make Vikrant and searched for new industry partners.
More than 150 Indian companies were involved in making it. Now there are all arrangements to create a new career.
That’s why it will be easy to make a new career. It will save time. The cost would be reasonable.
Also, it can be made more lethal, modern, and reliable. If a job like Vikrant becomes ready, India’s fame will increase
worldwide because the kind of weapons, fighter jets, and missiles deployed with Vikrant make him very powerful.
More deadly weapons can be installed in the new career. First, let us know which guns, Vikrant, are fatal.
Missiles like Barak-Brahmos, their speed is fatal
There is news of Barak-8 and BrahMos missiles being installed in Vikrant. Apart from this, Coastal-based AK-603 gun and Otobreda canon are fitted.
The Barak-8 missile has 32 vertical launching system cells. This means 32 rockets can be deployed.
Barak can blow the enemy to pieces in the range of 8 to 100 kilometers. It flies without smoke, so it is not seen coming into the sky. Its speed is about 2500 kilometers per hour.
Apart from this, BrahMos Missile can be installed in the future. Two variants of the BrahMos missile are to be fired from the warship.
First – anti-ship missile, second land-attack missile. Both rockets are already active in the Navy.
These missiles can carry a 200 kg warhead. Its speed makes it most deadly. It moves toward the enemy at a rate of 4321 KM per hour.
It will be equipped with extremely deadly cannons that blow
Vikrant is fitted with four 76 mm Otobreda cannons. That cannon can roam around and attack enemy aircraft, helicopters, fighter jets, warships, or boats.
It fires 120 rounds in a minute. The shells out of it go toward the enemy at a speed of 915 meters per second. The range is up to 20 kilometers.
Apart from this, it has four AK 630 CIWS (AK 630 CIWS). It is a close-in weapon system. It is a rotary cannon, which rotates wherever the target goes and attacks it swiftly.
It only takes one man to operate it. The firing range is from 4000 to 10 thousand rounds per minute.
Its range is 4000 to 5000 meters. It starts firing automatically as soon as it comes into the target range.
Dependable and fast fighter jets are stationed on it – helicopters
MiG-29 Mikoyan, one of India’s fastest and most dangerous fighter jets, is stationed at IAC Vikrant.
Flying with only one pilot, this fighter jet instantly rescues the enemy’s sixes. Can fly at a maximum speed of 2400 KM/Hour. Its range is 2100 kilometers. It has seven hard points.
MH 60R Multi-Role Helicopter is also deployed. 9-10 people sit in it. Its range is 830 KM. It can go up to a maximum height of 12 thousand feet.
Its speed is 270 km per hour. If needed, it can also fly at 330 km per hour. It can carry two MK 46, MK 50, or MK 54s torpedoes.
4 to 8 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles can be fitted. It is an anti-submarine helicopter.
The Indian Navy will use them to search and destroy enemy submarines in the Indian and Arabian Oceans.
Kamov Helicopters are deployed on this. Three people fly it. It can fly with 16 soldiers or 4000 KG weight. The maximum speed is 270 KM per hour. The range is 980 km.
It can be equipped with torpedoes, machine guns, 30 mm cannons or bombs, rockets, gun pods, or ammunition dispensers.
Rafael, F-18 Super Hornet, or any LCA can be deployed on the repeat version of IAC coming in the future.
