Citroen eC3 Electric Car launched in India: Check Price and Features

Citroën launched its new electric hatchback car Citroën eC3 in the Indian market. Adorned with attractive looks and a powerful electric motor, the starting price of this car has been fixed at Rs 11.50 lakh.

Visually, this car is exactly like its petrol (ICE) powered variant; the cost of its top variant has been set at Rs 12.43 lakh.

The company has already started its booking, for which Rs 25,000 will have to be deposited as the booking amount. Currently, its booking is going on in 25 cities of the country.

Power and Performance:

In the Citroen EC3, the company has used a 29.2kWh battery pack, which powers the front axle-mounted electric motor. It is an electric motor that generates 57hp power and 143nm peak torque.

The company claims that the new electric car EC3 can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 107 kmph.

In this car, along with the regenerative braking system, two driving modes have also been given, which include Eco and Standard.

What is Driving Range:

The new Citroen eC3 electric car has a driving range of 320 kilometers (ARAI) on a single charge.

The company has given two charging options for this car. With the help of a DC fast charger, this car’s battery gets charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes.

There is also a 3.3kW onboard AC charger, which also supports CCS2 fast charging. With this charger, its battery takes about 10.5 hours to charge fully.

As we told you above, apart from this car’s electric powertrain and battery pack, there has been no change in the exterior.

Similarly, this car is available in two variants Live and Feel. Like the petrol model, this car also has a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four speakers, height-adjustable seats, and connected car technology.

It also has 35 intelligent features that provide accurate information about the car’s charging status, driving behavior, location, etc.

The company offers 7 7-year/1,40,000 km warranty on the battery pack, 5 5-year/1,00,000 km warranty on the electric motor, and 3 3-year/1,25,000 km warranty on the electric hatchback.

An extended warranty is also being given on the electric motor and battery, for which customers will have to spend extra money.
