Electric Car: French carmaker Citroën has announced the launch of the electric version of its C3 hatchback.
The company has unveiled a new electric car. This electric version has been named eC3.
The all-electric C3 is scheduled to be launched in India in February 2023.
The ex-showroom price of the Citroen eC3 is expected to be Rs. 9 lakhs when it is found next month.
In terms of design, the eC3 is very similar to its ICE, i.e. petrol model C3 available in the market in India.
It retains the signature design language with the sleek grille featuring the Citroën logo and semi-crossover design. It looks like a crossover, but the company calls it a hatchback.
Range, Charging & Battery
The soon-to-be-launched Citroen eC3 in India packs a 29.2kWh battery pack that promises a range of 320 km on a full charge.
The battery pack and electric motor make 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 107 kmph.
The battery pack supports DC fast charging, which can charge the battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent in 57 minutes while charging from 10 to 100 per cent with a standard charger takes 10 hours and 30 minutes.
Features and Safety
Talking about the features of the upcoming electric car, it will get many features like manual AC,
a digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity like its ICE model.
Also, the Citroen eC3 will be made available in two models, Live and Feel.
The car will get a 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a four-speaker audio system and a height-adjustable driver seat.
Connected car tech is also available in the car, where charging status, location and many other features can be accessed. Safety features include ABS with EBD and dual airbags.
