The Delhi government has recently revised the charges for Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates across various vehicle categories to tackle air pollution effectively.

Revised Charges Overview

Previously, the charges for PUC certificates were as follows:

  • Two-wheelers and Three-wheelers: Rs. 60
  • Four-wheelers: Rs. 80
  • Diesel Vehicles: Rs. 100

But it is increased now.

Under the new order, charges for PUC certificates are as follows:

  • Two-wheelers and Three-wheelers: Increased to Rs. 80
  • Four-wheelers: Increased to Rs. 100
  • Diesel Vehicles: Increased to Rs. 140

It is effective immediately.

Reason for the Increase

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot explained that the adjustments reflect increased costs of pollution checking services and address demands from stakeholders like the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association.

Gehlot emphasized that these changes are part of ongoing efforts by the Delhi government to maintain air quality standards and ensure compliance with emission regulations.

Government’s Commitment to Air Quality

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot emphasized that these adjustments are aimed at improving air quality. He highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring that all vehicles meet required emission standards.

Gehlot stated, “In response to demands and rising costs, adjustments were made after 11 years.”
