The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of class 12th for the year 2023.
Students can access their results through various mediums like Umang App, SMS, IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) and official websites – cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in.
Performance Analysis
This year, 87.33% of students have passed the class 12th exam, which is a decrease from last year’s performance of 92.71%.
The Trivandrum zone has the best performance with a 99.91% pass rate. As usual, girls have performed better than boys, with a 6% better pass rate.
The pass rate for boys is 84.67% while the pass rate for girls is 90.68%.
Total Number of Students Appeared
According to official CBSE data, a total of 38,83,710 students appeared for the CBSE board exams this year.
Out of this number, 21,86,940 students appeared for class 10th and 16,96,770 students appeared for class 12th exams.
The CBSE 10th exam was conducted from March 2 to March 24, 2023, while the class 12th exam was conducted from March 1 to March 31, 2023.
How to Check the Result
To check the result, students can follow these simple steps:
1) Visit the official website of CBSE – cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in
2) Click on the CBSE Board Result 2023 link or login
3) Enter the roll number or registration number
4) Click on submit
5) The result of class 10th or 12th will be displayed on the screen
6) Download and take a printout of the result for future reference

Students can use DigiLocker and UMANG application to check their results on their mobile phones.
They can also visit the official CBSE websites – cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, digilocker.gov.in, results.gov.in and parikshasangam.cbse.gov to check their results online.
