In a modern twist, Uttar Pradesh’s electric buses are embracing the digital era, allowing passengers to make cashless transactions using digital cards.
Cashless Commute
During the launch of the digital card initiative, Meerut Division Commissioner Selva Kumari J applauded the move, emphasizing the convenience of digital payments.
Now, passengers on electric buses can enjoy a hassle-free journey by swiping their cards instead of using cash.
10% Discount on Digital Transactions
Passengers opting for the digital card will receive an enticing 10% discount on every transaction, according to Meerut ARM Finance Mukesh Aggarwal.
Stickers promoting awareness about the digital card’s benefits are being placed in all buses to encourage more people to embrace this cashless mode and contribute to the ongoing digital revolution.
Seamless Travel Across 14 Cities
ARM Vipin Saxena shared that passengers can acquire the digital card at no cost from the conductors of electric buses.
After a mandatory Rs 100 recharge, users can top up their cards with amounts ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 10,000.
This initiative extends beyond Meerut, covering all 14 cities with electric buses, allowing travelers to seamlessly explore various destinations with the convenience of digital transactions.
