BSNL introduces New Rs 249 Bharat Fiber Plan for Better Connectivity in Rural Areas

BSNL, the government-owned telecom company, has come up with a solution to improve internet access in rural areas.

Knowing that people in villages usually prefer budget-friendly options, BSNL brings an economical plan at just Rs 249 for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband service.

Starting from August 1st, BSNL has introduced a special Rs 249 plan tailored for customers living in rural India.

This plan offers some great benefits that you should know about.

BSNL’s Rs 249 Plan Details

This new plan from BSNL offers a connection speed of 10 Mbps along with a data allowance of 10 GB.

The exciting part is that during the initial phase, this plan will be available for free, encouraging more people in rural areas to try out fixed-line broadband service.

Plan Purpose

By providing this free trial, BSNL aims to promote the use of its broadband service in rural communities. This strategy not only improves connectivity but also helps the company expand its customer base.

It’s important to note that the final bill will include an 18% GST charge. Urban customers can also enjoy a similar plan, priced at Rs 299 plus 18% GST.

Low-cost Plan Demand

BSNL has been facing changes in its market standing, slipping from the top rank to the third position in wireline subscriber market share.

This new plan could be a strategic move to regain its prominence in the market.

BSNL’s new Rs 249 plan aims to bridge the connectivity gap in rural areas by providing an affordable and high-speed broadband option.

This move not only benefits rural customers but also serves as a way for BSNL to strengthen its presence in the competitive telecom market.
