Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has started a special program to ensure the quality and weight of gas cylinders.
It’s called the Pure for Sure scheme. With this program, people can receive cylinders with the correct weight and ensure that they haven’t been altered in any way.
Customers can check the cylinder before taking it home. This service, launched by Bharat Gas, is the first of its kind in the country.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, launched this service at the IEW 2024 event held in Goa.
The cylinders are secure and cannot be changed
BPCL mentioned that with Pure for Sure, customers will receive the right cylinders. A seal that cannot be tampered with will be put on the cylinder.
It will have a QR code. When customers scan the QR code, they will see a message confirming the Pure for Sure status with a special tune.
Important details like the cylinder’s weight will be visible. This way, customers can check the cylinder before accepting it.
If the cylinder has been tampered with, the QR code won’t scan, and delivery will be stopped.
Both the agency and customers will benefit
BPCL’s President and Managing Director, G Krishnakumar, mentioned that the Pure for Sure scheme will greatly improve LPG service.
It will boost customers’ confidence in the cylinder’s quality. The company is addressing issues like gas cylinder theft during transit, ensuring customer presence during delivery,
and allowing customers to choose refill delivery times. Additionally, an AI-based route optimizer service will be available under Pure for Sure, increasing the agency’s delivery capacity.
The company plans to involve women in delivery services. Pure for Sure promises an excellent service experience with features like delivery notifications, real-time tracking, OTP-based delivery, and preferred slot booking.
