Book Flights for Just ₹150 with UDAN Scheme

Air travel, typically more expensive than trains or buses, is now available at astonishingly low prices thanks to various airline offers.

You can now book flights for as low as ₹150, with no hidden terms or conditions. Here’s a breakdown of the best deals:

The Udan scheme, launched by the central government, makes this possible. For example, you can fly from Lilabari to Tezpur in Assam for just ₹150, taking only 50 minutes.

This is part of a broader initiative offering affordable fares on numerous routes.

Affordable Fares Across 22 Destinations: According to the travel portal ixigo, there are 22 destinations where the basic airfare is under ₹1000.

Flights on routes like Lilabari to Tezpur, operated by Alliance Air, offer the lowest one-way fare at ₹150. Note that a convenience fee may apply.

Quick Journeys with Short Durations: Flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) typically last around 50 minutes. Most routes with fares between ₹150 and ₹199 are in the Northeast.

There are also affordable routes in the South, such as Bengaluru to Salem and Cochin to Salem, with basic fares in this range. For flights between Guwahati and Shillong, the fare is around ₹400.

Additional Low-Cost Routes: Other routes with low fares include Imphal to Aizawl, Dimapur to Shillong, and Shillong to Lilabari, with tickets priced at ₹500.

Bengaluru to Salem flights cost ₹525. The Guwahati to Pasighat route has a basic fare of ₹999, while Lilabari to Guwahati is priced at ₹954.

Government Support for Affordable Air Travel: The UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, supported by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), includes 559 routes identified under the scheme by March 31, 2024.

The central and state governments, along with airport operators, offer incentives like waiving landing and parking charges to support these affordable flights.

Launched on October 21, 2016, UDAN aims to enhance regional air connectivity and make air travel more accessible.
