If you use Amazon Prime Video, you might be surprised because starting January 2024, there will be ads shown on the platform.
This means that, from the new year, you’ll see commercials while using the Amazon Prime Video app.
The Prime Video service mentions that users will see fewer ads compared to regular TV and other streaming services.
For an ad-free experience, you can choose the Ad-Free Service, but you’ll need to pay an extra monthly fee of around Rs 250.
These charges might begin from January 2024. According to The Verge report, ads will start appearing on Amazon Prime Video in the United States, Britain, Germany, and Canada from January 29.
Later, this ad service will be introduced in countries like France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia.
However, there’s no information yet on whether the ad service will be launched in India or not.
Amazon Prime Video is popular in India, offering movies and TV shows in 4K resolution. This service is accessible on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smart TVs.
With an Amazon Prime subscription, you can watch Prime Video on up to four devices simultaneously.
As for the pricing, Amazon Prime Video costs Rs 1,499 and includes Prime Music, Prime Gaming, and Prime Reading, along with free delivery.
In the Indian market, Amazon Prime Lite is available at a monthly price of Rs 799.
The Video Prime Mobile subscription costs Rs 599, providing access to all content on a smartphone or tablet through the Prime Video app.
