Banks will be closed for six days over the next 15 days, so it’s best to check the holiday list before planning a visit.
RBI Holiday List for August
The RBI has announced that between August 15 and August 19, banks will be closed for three days.
These holidays include Independence Day on August 15, Sunday on August 18, and Raksha Bandhan on August 19. Additionally, banks in Manipur will be closed on Tuesday, August 13.
States with Raksha Bandhan Closures
On Raksha Bandhan, banks will not be open in every state. On August 19, banks will be closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.
However, banks in other states will remain open on this day. Banks will also operate as usual on Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17.
