Bank of Baroda (BOB), a public sector bank, has introduced the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility,
enabling customers to withdraw cash from the bank’s ATMs using UPI (Unified Payments Interface).
This initiative makes BOB the first public sector bank to offer cash withdrawal through UPI at ATMs.
Cash Withdrawal Without Debit Card
BOB has announced that its ICCW facility allows customers of participating banks, as well as its own customers, to withdraw cash from ATMs without the need for a debit card.
By utilizing BHIM UPI and other UPI applications, customers can easily access this service.
Easy Steps to Withdraw Money Using UPI
To avail themselves of this convenient service, customers simply need to select the “UPI Cash Withdrawal” option at any Bank of Baroda ATM.
After entering the desired withdrawal amount, a QR code will be displayed on the ATM screen.
Customers must then scan the QR code using their authorized UPI app to authorize the transaction.
Two Transactions Per Day, up to Rs 5,000
Akhil Handa, Chief Digital Officer of Bank of Baroda, expressed that the introduction of the ICCW service empowers customers to withdraw cash without relying on a physical card.
Each customer can perform up to two transactions per day at BOB ATMs, with a maximum withdrawal limit of Rs 5,000 per transaction.
