Audi India and ChargeZone have opened India’s first ultra-fast charging station with a power of 450 kW. This new charging station is at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
It can give electric vehicles up to 360 kW of power, and it works with a special 500 Amp liquid-cooled tool. Let’s learn more about it.
The company says that the Audi Q8 55 e-tron has a big battery of 114 kWh. It’s one of the biggest cars you can buy in the country.
You can charge it from a little bit (20%) to almost full (80%) in just 26 minutes with the ultra-fast charger.
To run this ‘e-tron hub,’ they use solar energy from the roof. This makes the process of charging electric cars better for the environment.
There will be free charging till March 2024
The new ultra-fast charging station is open for all electric car owners in the city. If you own an Audi electric car, you can charge for free until March 2024.
Also, if you own an Audi e-tron, you’ll receive a free coffee voucher from Starbucks when you charge your car at the station.
The company mentions that people who know how to help will be at these charging stations if you need assistance.
They’re trained for that. Also, there’s a comfortable place for electric car owners to sit and relax while they charge their vehicles.

Audi India made something called ‘e-tron Hub’ on the myAudi connect mobile app.
It gives more details about the ultra-fast charging station. The new app gives important information for lots of people who want to buy electric cars.
It also shows charging spots from five partners: Argo EV Smart, Charge Zone, Relax Electric, LionCharge, and Zone Charging.
Audi India has put more than 140 chargers in 73 cities across the country.
These are in the company’s dealerships and service centers, as well as in select Skoda Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. (SAVWIPL) group dealerships.
There are already over 1,000 charge points for Audi e-tron owners on the app, and more will be added in the future.
