Ather Energy has updated its electric scooters 450X and 450S. Both scooters now have a cover over the belt and a new Ather logo at the back.
The cover helps keep the belt safe from dirt and mud when it rains, and it also protects the belt from damage.
This means customers won’t need to worry much about servicing. The company has also changed its logo, giving it a shiny chrome finish instead of the previous plastic one.
Besides these changes, Ather Energy hasn’t made any other big updates to its electric scooters.
Both the Ather 450X and 450S still have features like LED headlights, a flat footboard, a side stand that fits neatly, stylish mirrors, a comfortable seat, and a sleek LED tail light.
Additionally, these scooters come with a colorful touchscreen display that can connect to your phone via Bluetooth.
When it comes to how far you can ride on one charge, the Ather 450S has a 2.9kWh battery and a 6kW electric motor, giving it a range of 111 kilometers.
The 450X has two battery options: a 2.9kWh pack, also with a range of 111 kilometers, and a 3.7kWh pack that extends the range to 150 kilometers.
Both scooters have telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear for a smooth ride.
They also come with a Combined Braking System (CBS) for safety. The starting price for the Ather 450S is Rs 1.27 lakh, and for the 450X, it’s Rs 1.37 lakh.
Ather competes directly with Ola electric scooter in the market.
