The Ather 450S is set to compete with Ola’s S1 Air, which is known as one of the most affordable e-scooters in the market.
Ather claims that the performance of their scooter is similar to a regular 125 cc petrol scooter, providing riders with a similar experience to conventional petrol-powered scooters.
Battery and Range Specifications
Equipped with a 3kWh-R battery pack, the Ather 450S offers a commendable range of 115km on a single charge.
It can reach a top speed of 90 km/h, making it a capable and efficient electric vehicle.
This electric scooter will be competing with other models from Ola and Hero, as well as various other electric scooter manufacturers in India.
Impact of FAME-2 Subsidy Reduction
Following a reduction in the FAME-2 subsidy on electric vehicles (EVs) from 40 percent to 15 percent by the government, EV manufacturers have responded by increasing the prices of their vehicles.
