Apple WWDC 2024: iOS 18 Brings Creative Enhancements and New Features

Apple hosted its WWDC 2024 event, led by CEO Tim Cook. The event kicked off with the introduction of Vision OS 2, followed by the unveiling of iOS 18, packed with numerous exciting features.

These updates include new wallpapers, an upgraded control center, and the ability to schedule messages. Here are the highlights from the event.

Enhanced Privacy and Messaging Features

Hidden Apps Users now have the option to hide multiple apps on their devices and even lock the hidden folder for added privacy. Additionally, the messaging app received several significant updates.

Powerful Messaging Updates iOS 18 allows users to schedule their messages, and it introduces new text formatting options, including bold, underline, and italicize.

Apple also announced support for RCS messages and satellite message support for iPhone 14 and newer models.

Significant App Improvements

Mail App Overhaul The Mail app has undergone major changes. Users will now see all emails from the same business grouped together.

A new feature, Tap to Cash, has been added to the Wallet app, enhancing its functionality.

Photos App Redesign The Photos app has been completely redesigned with a new user interface that is simpler and comes with additional features, making photo management easier and more efficient.

Other Notable Announcements

Apple also shared updates about Watch OS, Apple TV+, and Vision OS 2 during the WWDC 2024 event.

Vision OS 2 has received many new features that will be rolled out to Apple Vision Pro users in phases over the coming days.

However, it is important to note that Apple Vision Pro is not yet available in India.

These enhancements in iOS 18 and other Apple operating systems promise to make Apple devices more user-friendly and versatile.
