Apple is doing more work in India to make more iPhones and not depend too much on China.
They want to make over 25% of all iPhones in India in the next few years. They’re working with companies like Foxconn and Tata to do this.
To make things better in India, Apple will start making special batteries called lithium-ion batteries.
The company that gives Apple batteries, TDK, will build a new place to make these batteries in Haryana. This new place will help make iPhones faster in India.
Apple and TDK will do manufacturing in Haryana
India’s Minister for Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnav, said on Twitter that TDK, the company that gives batteries to Apple, will make special batteries called lithium-ion batteries in India.
They are building a new, very advanced place in Haryana. This new place will create 8000-10,000 new jobs.

TDK is a company from Japan that makes electronics. They are one of the companies that give parts to Apple all around the world.
Right now, in India, iPhones are mostly put together. But important parts like batteries, screens, and processors are still made in China.
