Tech giant Apple kicked off its highly anticipated 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC23) at the Apple Park in California, USA.
The event, which began at 10:30 pm on Monday night as per Indian time, witnessed CEO Tim Cook’s keynote address followed by the grand launch of the all-new 15-inch MacBook Air, designed to revolutionize the laptop market.
The MacBook Air 15-inch is touted as the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop, weighing a mere 3.3 pounds (approximately 1.5 kilograms).
Prominent Features of the MacBook Air 15-inch
The MacBook Air 15-inch boasts a stunning 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, offering a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
Apple claims that the laptop delivers twice the resolution and 25 percent more brightness than other PC laptops in its class.
Noteworthy additions include a high-definition 1080P camera, ensuring exceptional video call experiences,
along with convenient features like MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports for accessory connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for a 6K external display.
Equipped with six speakers, the MacBook Air 15-inch is powered by the advanced M2 chip, providing an impressive memory capacity of up to 24GB.
Apple guarantees top-notch performance and exceptional battery life, describing it as twice as fast as the i7 processor, capable of delivering up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge.
The laptop seamlessly pairs with iPhones for enhanced functionality. Storage options go up to a spacious 2TB, and the device includes features like Touch ID and the Magic Keyboard.
Pricing and Availability in India
In the US market, the MacBook Air 15-inch is priced at $1299 and is available in Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray, and Silver finishes.
For Indian customers, the laptop will be priced at INR 1,34,900, with an introductory education price of INR 1,24,900.
Apple has also reduced the price of the 13-inch MacBook Air to $1,099, while the M1 Air’s price has been adjusted to INR 99,900.
Customers can place their orders for the MacBook Air 15-inch through apple.com/in/store, and deliveries will commence on June 13th.
