ChatGPT was launched in November 2022. Soon, people worldwide started to know about this chatbot from OpenAI.
It made them realize the importance of Artificial Intelligence in their daily lives.
Following this, companies like Google began introducing their AI chatbots, and businesses started incorporating AI-based chatbots into their services.
Now, in 2023, Amazon has entered the AI competition with its new addition called ‘Q.’
Amazon’s ‘Q’ is an AI chatbot designed specifically for businesses and is accessible only to customers using Amazon’s AWS cloud computing services.
It comes into the scene exactly one year after the launch of ChatGPT. This new entrant will compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Bard, and Microsoft’s copilots, all running on OpenAI technology.
So, what does Amazon’s new AI, ‘Q,’ offer? It is part of the growing battle in the field of generative AI focused on businesses.
Amazon is pricing the monthly cost of ‘Q’ at $20. The AI can perform various tasks, such as summarizing uploaded documents and answering specific questions about data on a company’s server.
Amazon’s CEO, Andy Jassy, highlights that Amazon Q is a more secure version of an AI chatbot with tighter control over content access.
In addition to the ‘Q’ AI Chatbot, Amazon has also ventured into Image Generation AI with the introduction of Titan.
Revealed during the AWS re: Invent 2023 conference, Titan Image Generator is a text-to-image tool.
It can create images based on text prompts and edit existing photos. This tool aims to assist businesses in advertising, e-commerce,
and the media and entertainment sectors in producing studio-quality and realistic images in large quantities at a low cost.
