Amazon, the global tech giant, is set to invest a substantial $3 million in India, focusing on nature-based initiatives.
This substantial commitment will be channeled into collaborative efforts with the Center for Wildlife Studies (CWS) to promote conservation and support local communities.

In a strategic partnership with CWS, Amazon will commence its initial project aimed at bolstering conservation efforts in the Western Ghats.
This region is home to over 30% of the world’s wildlife species, including the largest populations of Asian elephants and tigers.
$1 Million Contribution to CWS
As part of this initiative, Amazon will contribute $1 million to CWS to establish a “wild carbon” program.
This program will empower 10,000 farmers to plant and nurture medicinal trees, aligning these efforts with the needs of the local communities.
In addition to the financial support, farmers will receive technical guidance, agroforestry training, and assistance in replanting damaged flora.
